الشربا السعودي يعقد ورشة عمل للتنسيق والموائمة والتحضير لمشاركة

عقدت وزارة المالية ورشة عمل جمعت مكتب الشربا السعودي وممثلي الجهات الحكومية التي تمثل في مجموعة العشرين، ترأسها الشربا السعودي لمجموعة العشرين مساعد وزير المالية للسياسات المالية الكلية والعلاقات الدولية الأستاذ عبدالمحسن بن سعد الخلف، وذلك يوم الأربعاء 3 رجب 1444هـ الموافق 25 يناير 2023م. وحملت الورشة عنوان “أجندة المملكة في مجموعة العشرين تحت الرئاسة الهندية لعام 2023م”.
وقدمت ورشة العمل نظرة عامة على أجندة مجموعة العشرين تحت الرئاسة الهندية لعام 2023م، بما في ذلك أولويات مجموعة العشرين لهذا العام، ومنها دعم النمو الاقتصادي العالمي في ظل التوترات الجيوسياسية، وتعزيز سلاسل القيمة العالمية والخدمات اللوجستية المرنة، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من القضايا المتعلقة بالصحة والطاقة والأمن الغذائي والتعليم والسياحة وسوق العمل والاقتصاد الرقمي.
كما ناقشت ورشة العمل دور المملكة في المجموعة وسبل تعزيز الاستفادة من المبادرات التي أطلقتها المملكة خلال رئاستها لمجموعة العشرين في عام 2020م، بالإضافة إلى مناقشة خارطة الطريق ومشاركة المملكة في اجتماعات المجموعة وصولاً لقمة قادة دول مجموعة العشرين المقرر عقدها في مدينة نيوديلهي خلال الفترة 9-10 سبتمبر 2023م.
وتأتي هذه الورشة في إطار التنسيق والموائمة والتحضير لمشاركة المملكة في اجتماعات مجموعة العشرين، حيث تحرص المملكة على تقديم حلول ومبادرات لمعالجة التحديات التي تواجه الاقتصاد العالمي، ومن ذلك مبادرة تعليق مدفوعات الدين وإطار العمل المشترك للمجموعة، ودورها في إطلاق صندوق الوساطة المالية للأمن الصحي ودعمها له بمبلغ 50 مليون دولار، إلى جانب عملها مع الرئاسة الأندونيسية لمجموعة العشرين في عام 2021م لوضع استجابة لأزمة الأمن الغذائي العالمية.
يشار إلى أن مصطلح “الشربا”‏ هو المسمى الذي يطلق على مبعوث يمثل حكومته للمشاركة في الأعمال الرئيسية السابقة لانعقاد قمم قادة دول مجموعة العشرين، بهدف التمهيد للمفاوضات التي تتوج بالاتفاق على البيانات الختامية التي تصدر عن تلك القمم.

The Saudi Sherpa Holds a Workshop to Coordinate, Harmonize, and Prepare for the Kingdom’s Participation in the G20 Meetings Under the Indian Presidency for 2023

The Ministry of Finance held a workshop that brought together the Saudi Sherpa Office and representatives of government agencies that represent the G20. The workshop was chaired by the Saudi Sherpa of the G20, Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-fiscal Policies and International Affairs, Abdulmohsen Alkhalaf, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. It was titled “The Kingdom’s Agenda in the G20 under the Indian Presidency for 2023″.
The workshop provided an overview of the agenda of the G20 under the Indian presidency for 2023, including the priorities of the G20 for this year, such as supporting global economic growth in light of geopolitical tensions, strengthening global value chains and flexible logistics, in addition to a group of issues related to health and energy, food security, education, tourism, the labor market and the digital economy.
The workshop also discussed the Kingdom’s role in the group and ways to enhance the benefit from the initiatives launched by the Kingdom during its presidency of the G20 in 2020, in addition to discussing the road map and the Kingdom’s participation in the group’s meetings leading to the summit of leaders of the G20 countries to be held in New Delhi during the period 9-10 September 2023.
This workshop comes within the framework of coordination, harmonization, and preparation for the Kingdom’s participation in the G20 meetings, as it has previously presented the Kingdom’s keenness to provide solutions and initiatives to address the challenges facing the global economy, including the initiative to suspend debt payments, the group’s common framework, its role in launching and supporting the Financial Intermediary Fund for health security with an amount of $ 50 million, in addition to its work with the Indonesian presidency of the G20 in 2021 to develop a response to the global food security crisis.
A “Sherpa” is an envoy representing a head of a government participating in the main agenda prior to the convening of the summits of the leaders of the G20 countries, with the aim of preparing for negotiations that culminate in the agreement on the final statements issued by those summits.
